Cllr. Harriette G. Badio heads the Department of Economic Affairs in the Ministry of Justice. Prior to this appointment, she served as Deputy Minister for Codification, and Assistant Minister of Economic Affairs at the Ministry of Justice. Since assuming the position of Deputy Minister for Economic Affairs and now acting Deputy Minister for Codification, Cllr. Badio has embarked upon the task of revitalizing the Department and creating increased awareness of its functions which are critical and central to the Ministry of Justice and by extension the Republic of Liberia.
She has served in several administrative and legal positions including In-House Legal Counsel at the National Bank of Liberia, now Central Bank of Liberia, Professor of Law at the Louis Arthur Grimes School of Law/University of Liberia, Legal Consultant and CEO of a Major Health Company.
Cllr. Badio received a Bachelor’s degree, Business Administration (Management) B.B.A, 1975, University of Liberia, a Bachelors of Law degree (LL.B), University of Liberia,1983, a Masters of Law degree (L.L.M), University of Pensylvania, in Pennsylvania USA, 1988 and a Juris Doctor, Law (J.D.), William Mitchel College of Law/Hamline University, in Minnesota USA, 1999.
