Joint Security Launches Clean-up in Paynesville...

Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Liberia, Cllr. N. Oswald Tweh early Sunday, March 30, 2025 joined Police Inspector General, Col. Gregory Coleman and other members of the Joint Security to participate in a Clean-Up Campaign to Promote Public Safety and Civic Responsibility.

The clean-up initiative, which began at the ELWA Junction to GSA ,Paynesville is part of a broader national effort to enhance the safety and cleanliness of urban communities.

The event brought together local authorities, security personnel to work together toward a cleaner, safer environment.

The joint effort saw volunteers from the Ministry of Justice, Police, Military, Fire Service and other security agencies.

Minister Tweh emphasized the importance of such initiatives in promoting a sense of community and unity.

“This campaign is not just about cleaning our streets; it’s about showing that when we work together, we can create safer and healthier neighborhoods for everyone. It’s a reminder that we all have a role to play in building a secure and thriving society,” said Minister Tweh.

The clean-up day featured the collection of waste and clearing of drainages, with focus on areas known to have high foot traffic.

The event also served as an opportunity for local citizens to engage directly with their security forces in a positive and collaborative way, fostering stronger ties between the community and law enforcement.

Minister Tweh also noted that the initiative is a part of a series of efforts under the Ministry’s broader strategy to create safer, more cohesive communities.

The Ministry of Justice, alongside the Joint Security Forces, is committed to continuing such initiatives to further the values of safety, cleanliness, and community responsibility across the country.

The Minister of Justice was met on arrival by the Inspector General of the Liberia National Police, Col. Gregory Coleman and other top ranking officials of the Joint Security.
